  Episcopalians describe themselves as "the middle way" which is supposed to mean that they are not quite like the Roman Catholic church, but still more traditional than many newer protestant churches. But that only describes the liturgy (service)! As far as social issues the Episcopal church is fine with contraception, supports the sciences including evolution and stem cell research, has priests who may be female or gay. Small group at worship many Sundays, but great people. It is a multicultural group, depending on the week you may see as many black as white people in this particular church. Like many denominations, the population is aging. There is no children's Sunday School because of too few children.
